Attached above is a weekly sheet that I filled out each week while at my final Level II Fieldwork rotation at Lebonheur Children's Hospital. Each week, I filled out this sheet with areas that went well, areas that could have gone better, and my goals for the upcoming week. I had two fieldwork educators that I spent my time with during this rotation, so it was a great way to check in with both of them and get some constructive feedback. I believe that these weekly sheets increased my confidence and self assurance while on this rotation. This was one of my more challenging rotations and it was always very inspiring to sit down and write out all of the things that I thought I was doing well. Then, it was even more encouraging to hear both of my educators agree with me about the topics/areas that I believed I did well in. I think that even if the facility does not have a check in sheet like this, every student should write these things out each week in order to keep themselves motivated and confident that they are doing multiple things correctly throughout their Level II rotations. I also believe that practitioners should have a check in moment with themselves at least a couple of times a month in order to inspire and motivate themselves to continue to strive to be the best occupational therapist that they can be.
