Maintaining professional behavior is a competency that is always important when an entry-level occupational therapist is in a professional context. This is important in order to build rapport with the staff as well as the clients and their families. This is also essential to build trust and respect with your co-workers and clients. The evidence attached above is when I was on my first Level II Fieldwork at Methodist North Hospital. I constantly stayed professional, no matter who it was with. Because of this, I gained rapport with the staff, my clients, and their families. I was constantly working on my professionalism and growing in this area throughout this rotation since it was my first one.
